On April 6, 2023, our BC Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry has announced the end of the Universal Mask Mandate in health-care settings. Exceptions remain, however, for higher risk areas and Covid-19 symptomatic patients, and the vaccine mandate for health care workers is still in effect.
The current recommendations primarily include masking indoors, adequate ventilation, and universal vaccination and boosters.
Our clinic remains committed to ensuring that your visit to our practice is a safe and comforting experience with the following consistent measures in place:
- Strict infection control protocol before, during and after your dental visit.
- UV sanitization of main air vent into the dental operatories.
- Additional Hepa filter towers from the reception to the back end.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment for all clinical and administrative staff.
- Our waiting room does not hold any magazines or pamphlets as these items are high touch and difficult to disinfect.
- Patients and dental team alike, if anyone feel unwell, we encourage home rest, self testing and medical attention from the family doctor.
