There are many different options

There are many options that are similar to water flossing and are made to do almost the exact same thing. Here we have listed the top three that known.

     Floss

Hey this looks familiar! Ahh yes, floss, the classic tool for flossing. By using a wax coated string you can get into the nooks and crannies between your teeth.

     Air Flosser

This tool is exactly as it sounds. The system uses a mini compressor that pressurizes air  and a mixture of water to push things in between your teeth out!

     Water Flosser

Just like its brother the air flosser, the water flosser, is a tool made to clean the spaces between your teeth. Contrarily, it uses a steady stream of water rather than a mix of air and water.

Should I get one?

According to the new models out there on the market, they claim to be equal or better than using floss. That data some truth, however, tight spaces between your teeth can prevent water/air from flushing in between.

With that in mind, it means that the water flosser is best suited for those with large spaces between their teeth. Additionally, having braces can warrant the use of a water/air flosser. Due to the brackets and wires, it may be beneficial to have this tool in your arsenal.

Is it worth it? Does it work for me? Do I actually want it? It can not entirely replace traditional flossing.  It can be helpful in those hard to reach places that a tooth brush can not reach.  Different dental work and gum conditions have unique oral maintenance protocol.  To be certain, do talk to your dental health professional!
